In zilver en keper van keel, beneden vergezeld van een zeventiende-eeuws galjoen van sabel, varende op een zee in natuurlijke kleur; in een schildhoofd van azuur een gouden lelie.
Origin/meaning
The badge shows the arms of Maarten Harpertsz Tromp (1598-1653) and his son Cornelis Maartensz Tromp (1629-1691). Both served as Lieutenant Admiral Generals and won great distinction as commanders of the Fleet. The elder Tromp fell in the Battle of Terheyde 10 August 1653. The badge was approved 11 August 1952.
