Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 2019.
The arms show the outline of two swans as depicted in an ancient rock carving seen at Dyreberget in Leiknes.
The previous arms were granted on February 19, 1982.
The lynx in the arms is a symbol for the forests and the rich wildlife in the municipality.
