Wappen von Mantel

Official blazon

In Rot ein silberner Mantel mit abflatternden silbernen Schnüren und blauem Kragen in Rückenansicht.

Origin/meaning

The arms are canting, showing a cloak (Mantel in German). The oldest known seal dates from the late 16th century and already shows the cloak. All later seals and arms show a cloak, even though the shape and size differed widely. The colours are known since 1811 and have not changed since.

Wappen von Mantel

The arms by Hupp in the Kaffee Hag albums +/- 1925
