Selected collector's items from Germany:

WIEFELSTEDE

State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Ammerland

Wappen von Wiefelstede

Official blazon

(de)

Origin/meaning

The amrs were granted in 1965, but have been used already on the local seals since 1936.

The two wolf's hooks are described as a 'forest-hook' and are a symbol for the importance of forestry in the municipality and district. The colours are derived from the arms of the Counts and State of Oldenburg.
