Official blazon

I grönt fält en stående trana av silver med röd hjässa samt med lyftad vinge, hållande i höger fot en nedåtriktad glasblåsarpipa av silver med anfångad röd glasmassa.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially registered in 1975 and show the canting crane (trana).

The green colour symbolises the many forests in the area. The crane holds instead of the more common stone, a glass blowers pipe. There is a long tradition of glass blowing in the town, the oldest glass factory dates from 1741.
