- (fr) D'argent au laurier de sinople, fruité de gueules, mouvant de la pointe; au chef du même chargé de trois besants d'or, le premier surchargé d'une ombre de croisette pattée.
Origin/meaning
The tree in the lower half is a laurel tree, which is a canting element for the Latin name of the town, Lauriacum. The chief shows the three besants, the symbol of the Val du Metz region.
