History: Formed in 1922 as 5th/6th Dragoons by the amalgamation of [[5th Dragoon Guards (Princess Charlotte of Wales's), British Army]] and [[The Inniskillings (6th Dragoons), British Army]].<br>
In 1927 the name was changed to 5th Inniskilling Dragoon Guards, being awarded to Royal prefix in 1935.
