The arms were officially granted on July 14, 1953.
 
The wolf with the rock are taken from the older arms, see below. The lower half is canting for the name Kaulbach. Bach is brook or stream and Kaul refers to the boulders falling from the local cliffs into the river and are rounded to form balls by the current. Kaul  is the local word for Kugel (ball).
 
The previous arms were used until 1953.
