Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 10, 1994.

The checquered bar is taken from the arms of the Stams Convent, which has played an important role in the development of Jerzens. The green colour refers to the agricultural character of the village. The crosier refers to the local patron saint, St. Gotthard.
