Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 24, 1980.

Haselsdorf lies to the South-West of Graz, the capital of Styria. The land is well-wooded, mostly in deciduous trees. The oak-leaf was included to symbolise this fact.

Within the municipality lies Tobelbad, once the spa of the Styrian gentry, now the site of a large rehabilitation clinic. The picturesque baroque church was put into the shield as the main charge.
