+Shoulder Sleeve Insignia.  Description:  On a shield shape 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height by 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width blazoned:  “Per bend Sable and Argent, emitting from a cloud form in dexter chief Proper, a lightning flash Or edged with a narrow White border” all within a diminished border of the first.  Attached in base a White scroll inscribed “JOHNSONVILLE” in Black letters and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Black border.

+Shoulder Sleeve Insignia:  Gold and black are the school colors.  The “FLASHES” draws its name from the lightning flashes on the school seal, which indicates the cadets enlightened attitude in accomplishing scholarship, sportsmanship and citizenship.
