Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on June 29, 1981.

The fleurs-de-lis are those of the arms of Anjou, the tools of the slate workers refer to the slate quarries exploited until the end of the nineteenth century, the mill symbolizes the local mills, two of which remain, the bunch of grapes reminds that the vines were grown on the slopes of the Mayenne until the end of the 19th century.
