Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 27, 1964.

The three keys are taken from the arms of the Portner family from Augsburg, who played a major role in the local history.

In 1686 the village became a possession of the Holy Spirit Hospital in Augsburg. The pigeon in the base is the symbol of the Holy Spirit. The colours are those of the State of Augsburg.
