Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 1, 1995.

The arms show in the upper half the image of St. James, the patron saint of the nearby Cistercian convent, who also appeared on the local seal from the 17th century. The three golden balls are the symbol of St. Nicholas, the patron saint of the former church. The three crosses in the base symbolise the three devotion crosses in the municipality.
