In Rot ein silberner Mantel mit abflatternden silbernen Schnüren und blauem Kragen in Rückenansicht.

Origin/meaning

The arms are canting, showing a cloak (Mantel in German). The oldest known seal dates from the late 16th century and already shows the cloak. All later seals and arms show a cloak, even though the shape and size differed widely. The colours are known since 1811 and have not changed since.
