History: Formed at Mildenhall in August 1943.
Official blazon
a long eared owl volant affrontee proper carrying in the claws a flash of lightning gules.
Motto: Bellamus noctu = We wage war by night.
Origin/meaning
The badge symbolise the Nocturnal Activities of the Squadron. The badge was granted in October 1944.
