Official blazon

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 11, 1993.

The upper part shows in the upper right corner a broken vase, found in an excavation near the village. It dates from pre-historic times and symbolises the long inhabitation in the area. The harp in the upper left corner is derived from the old seal of Alsmannsdorf, which is now part of Dreitzsch. It meaning or origin are unknown.

The bridge in the lower part is the historical bridge over the Orla river.
