Wappen von Weisendorf/Arms (crest) of Weisendorf
Official blazon

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 30, 1949.

The arms were designed in 1949 as no historical arms or seals are known. The lion is the symbol of the State of Bamberg, to which the area belonged from at least 1365 until 1803. The other half shows three Ringelblumen (marigolds), a flower that has been cultivated in the village for many centuries.

Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
