English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 17, 1883.

The tower symbolises the medieval tower in Ficarolo. In medieval times there was a chain over the Po river to extract tolls from the boats on the river. On each bank there was a military watch tower to guard the chain and extract the tolls. According to legend a fig tree (Fico) grew on the tower, which is also seen in the arms.
