The two crosses refer to the Santa Maria de Leça chamber of the Order of Malta, who owned in medeval times most of the area, including the present parish of São Mamede de Infesta. The staff and small kettle are symbols for pilgrims on the way to Santiago de Compostela, who passed the village. | |||
