These arms have been officially granted on 3rd September 1998.

The village developed around a tower that the lords of Claramunt built in 1070; later this family left their castle, and the tower was transformed into their residence. It became the centre of the county of Claramunt in 1708, and this is represented by the count's crown at the top of the arms. These arms are canting: they show the tower ("torre" in Catalan) and the arms of the Claramunts, a floury mount Gules on Or.
