Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on May 26, 2010.
The sun symbolizes the fact that Budești is located on the eastern border of the country. The flaming sword refers to the patron saint, St. Michael. The sword also symbolizes the protection of the borders of Moldova and of the Christian faith on the border with the Tartar steppe.
The spur refers to the Budești racecourse.
