Distinctive Unit Insignia. Description: A circular silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86cm) in diameter consisting of a silver cross over an equilateral triangle triparted yellow, blue and red and all enclosed by a circular maroon scroll bearing the motto "ORAL HEALTH" at the top and "OUR MISSION" at the bottom in silver letters.

===Origin/meaning===
Maroon and white, the colors traditionally associated with the Medical Corps, are used for DENTAC units. The tripartite triangle refers to the unit's service at Fort Knox and to the Armor facilities located there. The cross is a symbol of care and health, defining the unit's mission. The device is circular or coin-shaped as a reference to Fort Knox.

The Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved on 26 August 1980.
