===Origin/meaning===
The gold and blue refer to the agriculture and the many rivers and streams near the town. The town is located geographically at the confluence of several rivers and near the Saône. Also the Burgundy Canal was opened in 1783 in the town by the Prince of the Condé. The situation of the town at the heart of the municipality is symbolised by the centre.

====Official blason====
The boat refers to the fact that the town was an important yachting harbour.
Écartelé d'or et d'azur, au tourteau-besant brochant en abîme de l'un en l'autre, à la nef de gueules au canton dextre du chef.
