History: First formed in 1942 at Royal Naval Air Station Stretton (HMS Blackcap), Warrington as a Fleet Fighter Squadron with Supermarine Seafire in HMS Unicorn. For d.Day it operated Hawker Sea Hurricane. It reformed 1955-1957 at Royal Naval Air Station Brawdy with Sea Hawks.
