The cross and the small bend reflect the history of the rulers of the village; the cross from the Prüfening abbey and the bend from the [[Archdiocese of Bamberg]]. Bishop Otto I of Bamberg handed over the village in 1138 to the Abbey founded by him near Regensburg. The village belonged to the Abbey until 1803. | |||
