The arms of Heimbuchenthal were granted on August 28, 1981.

The upper part shows three beech leaves, which are a canting symbol (Buche=beech) as well as a symbol for the forests in the Hochspessart region. The wavy bar is a symbol for the Elsava river. The lower half shows a cog wheel symbol for the local water-mill in the village of Höllhammer. The colours of the arms are taken from the colours of the State of [[mainzMainz]], to which the area belonged until 1802.
