===Origin/meaning===
The arms were officially granted on April 19, 1926.

====Official blazon====
The beech tree refers to the medieval village of Buchholz (Buche=beech), which no longer exists, in the municipality. The area historically belonged for centuries to the Pfalz and the two diamonds are taken from the arms of the Wittelsbach family (see [[Bayern]]), who were the Counts-Electors of the Pfalz at the time.
