RUPPACH-GOLDHAUSEN
State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Westerwaldkreis (until 1974 Unterwesterwaldkreis)
Additions : 1969 Goldhausen, Ruppach
Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Montabaur
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The upper part of the arms is derived from the old seal and proposed arms of Ruppach. The lion is the lion of the Counts of Nassau, the bars are taken from the arms of the Lords of Reifenberg.
The lower part symbolises the mining of special clay used for ceramics (Ton in German) and the Ahrbach river (wavy bar).
