====Official blazon====
These arms show in the lower part the castle Schaumburg, which was a fortress built by the Dukes of [[Lorraine]].

====Origin/meaning====
The original arms show a bear on the castle. The cross is the cross of the [[Trier (State)|State of Trier]], to which the local parish belonged. The abbott's staff represents the Benedictian Abbey of Tholey, which existed until 1793 and which was rebuilt in 1949.
