The cross is taken from the arms of the oldest seal of the village, dating from the 17<sup>th</sup> century. The seal showed a shield with a cross, and as crest a judge holding another cross. The above arms reproduce the cross, but as a symbol of the local court, the judge was replaced by a branch of roses.
