This brand follows heraldic rules. It contains a stone bridge over a river, two towers and the Styrian panther. Bruck of course means Brücke (bridge). The city was a wealthy trading town, important because of its bridge over the river Mur and its castle which belonged to the Landesfürst, the Duke of Styria.
