SURDILA-GRECI
District/county (județ) : Brăila
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on December 3, 2014.
The eagle refers to the Monument of the heroes of the municipality, erected to mirror the memory of those who fell on the battlefield and to celebrate their participation in the War of Independence and the First World War.
Wheat ears represent the main occupation of the inhabitants, agriculture, and their figure indicates the number of component villages of the municipality.
The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
