===Origin/meaning===
The arms were officially granted on March 19, 2004.
The carriage reflects the local folk tale about the name of the town: during market day in Whit Sunday so many people arrived that carriages were parked with unbridled horses and raised thills. People said "daug ienu" ("many thills"), so the name Daujenai appeared. The hops refer to old traditions of beer-making.
