The arms of Bishop Charles V. Grahmann symbolize his personal and priestly life, his family origins and his desire to serve others in his espiscopal office. The field party per saltire is tinctured gules and sable, colors associated with Bishop Grahmann's German heritage. In the chief a hand apaumee (open-palmed) silver represents the Bishop's desire to reach out to the poor and to those in need. T
 
With the rose Bishop Grahmann places himself under the patronage of Mary, especially in the title of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas.
