Shoulder Sleeve Insignia.  Description:  On a disc divided wavy horizontally red over white and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border a black tomahawk and rifle saltirewise; all surrounded by a red designation band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border and inscribed “WHITLEY COUNTY” arcing above and “HIGH SCHOOL” arcing below all in white letters.  The overall dimension is 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in diameter.
Shoulder Loop Insignia.  Description:  A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  Argent a rifle and tomahawk saltirewise Sable between in fess point a lamp Or enflamed Gules, on a chief of the third three concentric demi-rings Red.  Attached below the shield a red scroll inscribed “WHITLEY COUNTY” in Gold letters.

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Red, white and black are the school colors.  The rifle and tomahawk reflect the conflict and eventual peace between local Native Americans and settlers in establishing the area.  The wavy area, showing the Native American symbol for running water, symbolizes Cumberland Falls, a local scenic area.


Shoulder Loop Insignia:  Red, white and black are the school colors.  The rifle and tomahawk reflect the county and the conflict and eventual peace between local Native Americans and settlers in establishing the area.  The lamp of knowledge implies enlightenment and leadership of the cadets in the disciplines of science, the arts, and athletics.  The arc of rings above the shield represents Cumberland Falls, a local scenic spot, and reflects the cadets’ dedication to their community.
