The arms were adopted and designed in 1976.
The arms were adopted and designed in 1976.


The base shows the arms of the Lords of Weckolsheim, as shown in Vieux-Brisach and dating from the 14<sup>th</sup> century. As no colours were known, the red and silver of the Ribeaupierre estate were taken. The village belonged to the Ribeaupierre estate from 1495-1789. The chief shows the local small castle, which was burned down during the 30-years war.
