As the village had no historical seals or coat of arms, it was decided to adopt the arms of the Ketringer family, lords of the village in the 14th and 15<sup>th</sup> century. The arms are based on the seal of Pschenko Ketringer from 1415. The meaning of the magpie and the star is not known.
