The arms are a combination of the arms of the Manninga family as well as the arms of the Manor Lütetsburg.
The arms are the arms of the Manninga family, who ruled the village until 1588. The manor was inherited by the Zu Innhausen und Knyphausen family, and one of the branches (von Lütetsburg) used the arms also as an inescutcheon (see image below).
