Escudo de Alcorcón

Official blazon

De oro, una colina de sinople surmontada de tres ollas de gules. Al timbre, Corona Real cerrada.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 20, 1974.

The jars in the upper part are a symbol of the local pottery craftsmanship, which has been a tradition for a long time. The hill in the base of the shield indicates the geographical position of the town.
