Escudo de ouro, monte de verde encimado por um pano de muralha de negro, lavrado de prata e carregado de duas ovelhas de prata, a da dextra volvida; em chefe, arado de negro, realçado de prata. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro, em maiúsculas : “ ALDEIA VELHA - SABUGAL “.

Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on January 18, 2000.

The arms show a mountail with a wall on top. This symbolises the hilltop village of Aldeia Velha. The plough symbolises agriculture and the green hill and the sheep the large fertile grazing lands in the municipality.
