UNȚENI

District/county (județ) : Botoșani

Stema Unțeni

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 19, 2015.

The ram's head refers to the basic occupation of the inhabitants, animal husbandry (shepherding), especially the village Unțeni which is famous for the Karakul sheep breed.

The wavy bar represents the local lake.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
