ALSFELD (ALS)
State : Hessen
Incorporated into: 1972 Vogelsbergkreis
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on December 4th, 1956.
The arms show a typical building style of the area, but are based on the city hall of Alsfeld, which was built in early Renaissance style by Count Hermann of Hessen between 1512-1516.
Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
