SCHWANSTETTEN
State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Roth (until 1973 Schwabach)
Additions: 1978 Leerstetten, Schwand
German |
Unter zinnenförmig von Schwarz und Silber geteiltem Schildhaupt in Blau auf grünem Berg ein golden bewehrter silberner Schwan Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on February 13, 1980. The arms combine the swan from the historical arms of Schwand, with a chief for Leerstetten. The colours are those of the Viscounts of Nürnberg (Hohenzollern), as the region historically belonged to them. The division of the chief refers to the -stetten part of the name.
