The arms of the Abbey while in exile in Bregenz (1905-1941) as Abbey of Mariastein-St. Gallus.

These arms combine the arms of Mariastein (III) with the patron saints St. Mary (III) and St. Gallus (IV). The first quarter shows the arms of the Hirsau Abbey, as the original Beinwil abbey was founded in the 11th century by monks from Hirsau.
