BEAUMONT (PUY-DE-DÔME)

Département : Puy-de-Dôme

Blason de Beaumont (Puy-de-Dôme)

Official blason

  • (fr) D'azur au mont de six coupeaux d'or surmonté d'un étui de crosse contourné du même, celui-ci accosté de deux serpes d'argent emmanchées d'or.

Origin/meaning

The arms show two grape knives, an indication of the (former) importance of viticulture. The middle charge is a cover for a crosier and refers to the former large Abbey in the village. The lower half indicates the six hills surrounding the village.
