AILLANT-SUR-MILLERON
Département : Loiret
Official blason
- (fr) D'or à l'aigle de gueules surmontée d'une double jumelle potencée et contre-potencée de sable; à la plaine d'azur.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on July 1, 2010.
The chief is taken from the De Sancerre family, former Lords of the village.
The eagle is taken from the arms of the city of Châtillon-Coligny - and indicates the very close links that existed between the seigniory of Aillant and that of Châtillon-sur-Loing. The red color of the eagle refers to the pallium of Saint Martin, patron of the parish church of Aillant. The base refers to the Milleron which has its source in the town.
