Escudo de verde, três bicas de ouro jorrando água de prata, alinhadas em faixa, entre três pedras de prata alinhadas em roquete, em chefe e roda dentada de ouro, em ponta. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco, com a legenda em maiúsculas a negro : “ URGEZES “.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 16, 2003.

The three stones in the upper part refer to St. Stephen, the local patron saint, who was stoned to death. The three taps refer to the three springs in the parish. The cogwheel refers to the local industries.
