Origin/meaningGriva is a suburb of Daugavpils now, situated on the left bank of the Daugava river. In 19th century it was a town, called Griwa-Semgallen in German, in the Zemgale (or, more exactly, Selija) region. In 1912 city rights were granted. After the independence of Latvia the arms were granted: the deer of Zemgale arms and colors of the National Flag. Contact and SupportPartners: Your logo here ?
