FOSTER

State : Rhode Island

Arms (crest) of Foster

Official blazon

Argent a chevron vert between three hunting horns sable, with a border of the second. On a silver shield a green chevron between three blackhunting horns all within a green border.

Origin/meaning

Foster was named for Senator Theodore Foster, and the arms are the ancient Foster coat with a border for difference, on account of the fact that there is no evidence that Theodore Foster himself used arms.
